Junior Android Developer & Frontend Engineer
I build things that work — Android apps, responsive websites, and real-world software for teams that need reliable, thoughtful developers. I learn on the job, ship real code, and care deeply about what I build.
Built through real work, not just tutorials — every skill here has been used in a real project.
Real work done for real teams — not just side projects.
Redesigned and rebuilt the official DekuSMS landing page — a fully responsive, multilingual single-page website supporting 7 languages including Arabic (RTL) and Russian. Built with React, Material UI, and i18n translation system.
Contributed instrumentation tests to the DekuSMS Android app — a real production codebase. Wrote UI tests using Jetpack Compose test rules, validated screen components, and opened PRs on GitHub.
Provided French and Arabic translation contributions to both DekuSMS and RelaySMS apps, improving accessibility for millions of users in francophone and Arabic-speaking regions.
Developed a functional telemetry dashboard interface with responsive components and improved UI interaction patterns. Built for real data visualization needs.
Structured and improved technical documentation pages — improving clarity, layout, and navigation flow for developer-facing documentation.
Built a blog using Next.js with modern UI components, page routing, SEO basics, and reusable component architecture.
I am a self-taught developer based in Bamenda, Cameroon, currently working as a Junior Android Developer at Afkanerd / SMSWithoutBorders — building and maintaining real apps used by real people across the world.
I started with HTML and CSS, taught myself JavaScript and React, contributed to multilingual websites, and am now deep in the world of Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. Every skill I have was built by doing, not just studying.
I am the kind of developer who learns fast, ships real work, asks honest questions, and cares deeply about what I build. I am actively looking for opportunities that will help me grow — remote or otherwise.
I am open to junior roles, freelance projects, remote opportunities, and open source collaborations. Let's build something real.
